General Function: Provide sanitized and/or sterilized equipment, feed, bedding, and other support items to animal care barriers. Maintenance of records documenting activities.
Responsibilities: Follow standard operating procedures for the efficient transfer of materials into and out of animal barriers. Operate all equipment, including washing and sterilizing equipment, in a safe, efficient manner. Order adequate supply and maintain laundering of barrier uniforms and towels. Receive and stock incoming supplies, feed, bedding, etc. Clean and sanitize work area, storage areas, disposal areas, and animal care areas as assigned. Maintain all areas assigned in a neat, organized, and safe condition. Compliance with company Hazardous Communication Program. Maintain detailed records on work performed and as required. Assemble shipping boxes. Work within changing shift times and rotating overtime schedule. Avoid contact with rodent species outside of work. Other duties as assigned by management.
