General Duties: Supervises and Coordinates Equipment Services personnel in their support of animal barriers ensuring that accurate records are maintained and procedures followed for all phases of the Equipment Services Operation.
Specific Responsibilities: Directs employees to observe proper operating procedures. Oversees Equipment Services to maximize service and productivity. Fill in for absent employees in the performance of Equipment service duties. Oversees training of employees in all aspects of their responsibilities. Train Group Leaders in monitoring and supervision techniques. Develop and submit plans for operational improvement. Oversee the shipping of customer's orders. Perform minor basic repairs to autoclave and cage washing equipment. Coordinate with animal area supervision to assure equipment and supply needs are met with efficiency. Prepare work schedules. Prepare reports are necessary. Approve time cards daily. Disciplinary action as needed. Requisitions supplies and turns in repair requests. Be available for after hour alarm call schedule.
Qualifications: Previous experience as an Equipment Services Trainee or equivalent.
