Harlan Laboratories Europe is pleased to announce improved
shipping gel packs as our hydration source. HydroGel™, from the US
company ClearH2O®, has been used in our US operations for over one
year, and it has proved to be a reliable and consistent hydration
source for research animals.
Our
European facilities, in the Netherlands and Italy, will gradually
transition from our current hydration gel source to HydroGel™
starting mid/end of July 2010. At the same time, UK bred animals,
for shipment to continental Europe, will be provided with
HydroGel™. Harlan maintains a continued focus on improving animal
welfare by including improved liquid sources for animals in
transit.
