Starting January 2009, IMTC (International
Microsurgical Training Center) will stop giving courses. The
telemetry courses that were given by IMTC are taken over by
Research and Telemetry B.V. (RaT B.V.) in close co-operation with
Harlan Laboratories and Data Sciences
International.
This telemetry course entitled "Basic course in
radio- telemetry for monitoring small laboratory animals will
emphasize the hands-on learning of advanced implantation
techniques. Attendees will implant BP and ECG transmitters in small
laboratory animals. Use of the operating microscope and surgical
instruments will be demonstrated and discussed. Instructors will
cover small animal telemetry surgery techniques and the most recent
approaches. Emphasis will be placed on learning practical skills
and methods from experienced instructors. This course is given in
close co-operation with Data Science International (DSI) and RaT
B.V.
The registration fee includes the following

Please note that since each participant will have
her/his own set-up during the whole course, which exists of an
operation microscope and all the surgical tools needed for the
course, the number of attendees per course is limited to a maximum
of 8 surgeons.
