Harlan Laboratories has a broad background and expertise in performing analytical characterizations of industrial chemicals, agrochemicals, biocides and pharmaceutical products.

With modern, purpose-built facilities, the Harlan Laboratories analytical team has extensive experience in the chemical analysis of a wide range of substances with challenging chemical properties. Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and offer a comprehensive array of analytical techniques such as:

  • Bruker MaXis TOF-MS
  • HPLC-MS/MS, ICP-MS
  • HPLC with several different detectors (UV, DAD, fluorescence, evaporative light scattering, refrection index)
  • IC (with chemical and conductivity detection)
  • GC with various detectors, UV/Vis, FT-IR, AAS

With our experience with more than 100 pesticides, we can offer the following services:

  • Analysis of active ingredient and manufacturing related impurities
  • Analysis of toxicological relevant impurities (FAO, IUPAC), including metallic impurities by AAS or ICP/MS
  • Development and validation of analytical methods
  • Structure elucidation of unknown impurities by accurate mass determination with Bruker MaXis TOF-MS or via GC/MS
  • Isolation of impurities by preparative HPLC for further characterizations by NMR or MS
  • Support for synthesis of reference standards

We carry out studies according to the requirements of SANCO 3030/99, OPPTS, SINDAG (Brasil), SENASA (Argentina) or other regulatory authorities. The expertise of our in-house regulatory groups support our activities.
