Rodent and Non-Rodent Toxicology

Rats, mice and hamsters are the primary rodent species used for general toxicology studies. Transgenic strains can also be used for short-term oncogenicity studies in mice.

The primary non-rodent species used are dogs, non-human primates and minipigs. Our non-human primates are housed in state-of-the-art gang cages. Our dogs and minipigs are housed in pens and group housed whenever possible.
