Overview
All products are quality control tested for
Haemoglobin levels using the Mayo method as well as physical
appearance to ensure that they meet standard specifications. A
Certificate of Analysis is provided with each batch dispatched.
Raw Serum
Products
- All serum products provided by Harlan is raw, non-sterile,
unfiltered material from healthy, adventitious virus free animals
(based on the FELASA Recommendations 2002, Nicklas et al)
raised in strict barrier conditions or genetically controlled
colonies. For information and costs of sterile filtration, heat
inactivation, gamma irradiation or bulk quotations please contact
our Customer Services Department. Serum can be provided in
different vial sizes and is available from many different stocks or
strains incl. many specified parameters. We routinely hold good
stocks of pooled serum in 10ml vial sizes allowing us to ship
within two working days. Product from specific stocks or strains
bred at specific age and sex are collected on request and require
therefore a longer lead time.
Plasma
Products
- Harlan’s plasma is from an extensive range of healthy,
adventitious virus free animals (based on the FELASA
Recommendations 2002, Nicklaset al). These
animals are raised under strict barrier conditions or genetically
controlled colonies. All plasma is supplied as raw, non-sterile,
unfiltered material in a choice of anticoagulants.
- Upon ordering, please specify the type of anticoagulant
required. Most commonly used are: EDTA, Lithium Heparine, Sodium
Heparine and Citrate. Plasma can be provided in different vial
sizes and is available from many different stocks or strains incl.

lead time.
