| Day | Procedure |
| 0 | Pre-bleed and collection of pre-egg/initial inoculation (we
usually use from 100ug to 500ug of antigen, the higher dose, if it
is a peptide, mixed with an equal volume of complete Freund’s
adjuvant). |
| 21 | Boost/egg collection begins (we usually use from 50ug to 250ug
of antigen, the higher dose, if it is a peptide, mixed with an
equal volume of incomplete Freund’s adjuvant). |
| 31 | Test bleed |
| 42 | Boost/egg collection begins (we usually use from 50ug to 250ug
of antigen, the higher dose, if it is a peptide, mixed with an
equal volume of incomplete Freund’s adjuvant). |
| 52 | Test bleed |
| 63 | Boost/egg collection begins (we usually use from 50ug to 250ug
of antigen, the higher dose, if it is a peptide, mixed with an
equal volume of incomplete Freund’s adjuvant). |
| 73 | Test Bleed |
We continue after day 73 with monthly boosts followed by test
bleeds, ten days post-boost. Usually the eggs are of most
importance and we collect them daily. The client usually tests
yolks from around the same times as the test bleeds and we then
will pool yolks from the appropriate times.
