The MF1 outbred mouse was synthesized at OLAC prior to 1970 from a cross between LACA (formerly called CFW) mice from the Laboratory Animal Centre, Carshalton and CS1 mice from Scientific Products Farm, Manston. Maintained as a closed colony since 1970. To Harlan Laboratories, Inc. in 1992.
