The source of the pulp is primarily Southern Loblolly Pine. The
characteristic long fiber and low resin content promotes excellent
bulking quantities and wicking rates. The pulp material is used
extensively in the manufacturing of diapers, sanitary napkins and
incontinent pads. Since the material comes in contact with humans
in the forms listed above, the FDA has granted wood cellulose pulp
of this nature as GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe). The U.S.
Department of Commerce publication PB-221949 includes cellulose in
a listing of substances presumed to be GRAS by the FDA but not
published.
Particle Shape
The unconventional particle shape prevents layering and
stacking. This feature enhances the rotation of particles to expose
more surface area to air circulation.
High Absorbency
The ultra high absorbency of the particles, which is many times
that of natural products, also encourages the evaporation of
liquids. This allows the product to last longer and continually
absorb.
Color and Consistency
The bright white color is cosmetically appealing and is an asset
in the observation of animals and their discharges.
Certified
OMEGA-dri is supplied in a consistent grade that is routinely
tested for microbiological, heavy metal, pesticide and other
chemical parameters.
High Tech Product
The natureof the product virtually eliminates the variables
associated with natural bedding products. OMEGA-dri is the perfect
companion for microisolation units.
Controlled Manufacturing
The unique processing technique assures consistency with a
virtually dust-free product. This also assures definition and
reliability.
Packaging
OMEGA-dri is packaged in 10kg. (22 pound), high strength,
multi-walled bags that are autoclavable.
