services to help you facilitate the discovery process.
In North America, Harlan Laboratories GenScreen™ has developed a
program that provides high throughput molecular technologies in a
format that clients can easily integrate into their busy
laboratories. A variety of technologies are utilized to ensure
efficient sample and information transfer, including high quality
nucleic acid extraction, sensitive and specific genotyping,
zygosity testing, gene expression analysis, High Throughput
Screening (HTS) services, and large scale single nucleotide
polymorphism (SNP) analysis.
In Europe, Harlan Laboratories has developed two programs to
facilitate genetic characterization of your inbred rat or mouse
strains. Our Quick Scan program is typically used to verify the
purity of genetic background in the case of a suspected
contamination. Our Genome Scan program is for finer mapping
projects, such as determining when a backcrossing procedure has
reached completion.
