B10 Congenic Mice Origin

  • B10 congenic mice were developed by Dr. Jack H. Stimpfling, The McLaughlin Research Institute, Montana. From Tufts University School of Medicine, to Clinical Research Centre, Harrow in 1975. From Clinical Research Centre to OLAC (now Harlan Laboratories) in 1976.
  • The inbred partner is C57BL/10Sn and the donor strain is A/WySn, resulting in the differential locus H-2h4, due to H-2a/H-2bcrossover
